Fairwinds Partners has had a pretty interesting ride through the New gTLD program.
For quite a long time they were solidly against the new gTLD program citing cost to brand holder to register defensive domain names, and of course as the main supporter of CADNA which sounded the alarm years ago of how much the new gTLD’s will cost brand holders, (here also) wound up getting solidly behind it and actually put in a lot of .Brand applications on behalf of clients.
Fairwinds Supports the further study on potential collisions and actually asked the INTA to get involved on the issue, however opined in its Domainnamestrategy.com blog today, using Facebook data the the new gTLD .home will do very well with 19-26 year old’s.
Of course for those that follow ICANN and the collision study know that .Home is one of the two biggest potential new gTLD’s problem new gTLD as pointed out by the collision report authors.
