Well unless you live in a cave, and even if you do live in a cave its pretty hard to miss the news that the US government has been to some extent shutdown.
So while we try to stay politically neutral lets look at the best domain names that would cover this crisis,
The domain name GovernmentShutdown.com is pretty hard to beat for a bang on .com covering the subject that has been in the news non-stop for the last week.
While you may think that a slick domainer registered the domain a short while ago, in fact the domain name was registered back in 2007.
However as we checked today on the day the US Government actually shutdown partially, the domain name is inactive
The registrant is Befriend Internet Services LLC of Richmond Va which registered the domain back on July 20th 2007
The domain was going to a Godaddy.com placeholder as recently as December 2012 according to Screenshots.com but now goes to a not resolving page.
So as we sit today not even Godaddy.com is making money off the hottest topic in the world.
Unfortunately GovernmentShutdown.org which is owned by Diversity City Media since 2011 is not resolving either.
Hum
