Back catcher Pheenix.com which recently went to an auction system for multiple back orders on August 1, just closed its highest auction ever with the sale of PetSitters.com which closed at $23,383. (plus the $18.95 backorder fee so total of $23,401.95)
The domain PetSitters.com has an Estibot.com value of $60,000.
It obviously a great name and and one in which you could open up a business on.
The domain PetSitters.com was a free drop domain name meaning it was gotten on a first come first serve basis and Pheenix.com beat out the big boys out. both Namejet.com and SnapNames.com to grab the domain.
The domain name PetSitters.com has an original registration date of 1996.
The domain was owned by mostly recently owned by Bayer Corporation who let a valuable domain drop for nothing.
Separately Escrow.com, which processes a huge portion of all domain sale transactions appears to be down.
Were not sure how long the site has been down but it is in fact down as of time of publication.
UPDATE As of 4pm EST Escrow.com is back up.
AbdulBasit.com says
Escrow.com is working fine at my end.
Another interesting story is Mouthwash.com was caught by Sun Mountain which is part of Name.com. The new owner must have paid less than $100 for this domain as Name.com gives the domain on first come first serve basis.
Michael Berkens says
mouthrinse.com which was owned by the same owner and dropped on the same day is at auction at SnapNames with two days to go is at over $1,200
Sameh says
Escrow.com is fine here (Egypt) as well.
