According to TechCrunch.com last night and later covered by Morgan Linton, The domain name Brand.com sold for six figures to Reputation Changer online reputation management company.
Seems like a Bargain and great domain.
Today it seems the domain name Brands.com is for sale as well.
But forget about paying six figures for that domain as the site prominently says:
“”For The First Time Ever – Brands.com Is For Sale””
“”Only 7 figure (USD) offers will be considered, if your maximum offer is below 7 figures – please do not contact us.””
“”Brands.com is a 1 word, category killer domain name which has never been on the market before.”
“Please fill in the following form if you are genuinely interested.””
It is a truly great domain and since domaining is all about branding it would be great name for anyone in the domain space as well.

Brand.com is a great name–if Reputation Changer can do something with it then I’m all for it. A great investment on their part.
