In a news release today DomainNameSales.com announced a new 2.5 version of their site.
The new site has a lot of information is quite interactive for each of the domain names as a buyer you’re inquiring about.
As a buyer you get a sales pitch, why you should buy the domain.
It’s quite ingenious.
Take the domain name 4x4pictures.com.
This is what DomainNameSales.com says about it:
“”There are 250 million names registered but our experts agree, approximately 5% are as good as this or better””.
“”There are at least 319,000,000 results for “4×4″ in major search engines. ”
“You can own the name that embodies this keyword.””
“The premium marketplace at DomainNameSales.com only features rare and brandable names like 4x4Pictures.com.”
“Good two word domain names are rare. “:
“4x4Pictures.com is among approximately 182 related names available for the world to share.”
“4x4Pictures.com is among the top domain names out of the 111,146 we have listed in the automotive category.”
“The United States is a long way from Paris, but 4x4Pictures.com is in the busiest and most upscale part of the internet.”
So I don’t know about the stats, but its a sales tool.
Give the buyer who is interested in the domain name to being with some reasons to buy the domain.
Brilliant and certainly a lot better than just “This domain maybe for sale”
Here is the email which went out to customers of DomainNameSales.com tonight from Mr. Schilling:
Today I’m proud to announce the 2.5 version of the DomainNameSales.com site.
I deeply appreciate the responsibility you’ve entrusted us with, for monetizing and selling names using the DomainNameSales.com platform. I have tried to deliver you the types of tools that no competing sales platforms would allow you to have. I’m especially proud of our development team past and present for the amount of effort that has gone into building a framework to allow you to sell names on your own and with brokers from any company .
Most of you use the sales banners on our parked pages and their related lead-contact pages to triage and manage sales-leads coming to your names.. In this 3rd release of domainnamesales.com we’ve tried to improve some of the process-flow shortcomings of our platform. It’s a big release that will necessitate you changing some of your customized email templates. In the coming weeks we will roll out additional process flow improvements and a payment plan for qualified partners. We have a new team of sub-brokers lead by Dan Adamson to focus specifically on partner leads. In about a month, an improved APP will allow additional powers in responding or assigning leads to brokers. I can not overstate the power in the desktop and mobile CRM we’ve built for you.
If you take the time to embrace our platform I’m convinced you’ll see there is nothing else like it on the Web. I would not leave my sales platform for any price. It has increased the value of my names because I can extract deals and value where I couldn’t without the tools we offer. DNS should help me boutique about 15 million in names this year. Millions of dollars in deals would remain on the table without the sales team and selling infrastructure provided by our platform. No other parking or sales company offers anything even close to what we offer you for negotiated deals and in 2 weeks we intend to allow you to use a true buy-it-now pricing on low priced names, with instant completion through escrow.com.
I think you’re going to like some of the changes that begin today and I sincerely hope you’ll take the time to learn and embrace our platform to allow it to unlock the hidden value of your domain name portfolio.
We’re not stopping here. ”

If you want further changes or upgrades to platform, great time to express your opinion.

Yes they are, but that for existing clients so I left it out

Another sales pitch should be:
“If you don’t buy it NOW, someone will””!!!

My sale pitch from my website ” Buy It Now Before Your Competitors Do. ™ ” I trademarked it!

trouble is… all inquiries have now been hijacked to Domain Name Sales themselves?
That’s not what I had mine set for… but that’s where they are now apparently going.
Michael Berkens says
you can select a broker

Great job DNS !
Thank you for responding to domainers needs.
“buy-it-now pricing on low priced names, with instant completion through escrow.com”
It’s something that i was waiting for on the $1k-$10k price tag names.

in re: to that particular domain…
4 x 4 pictures .com
“Good two word domain names are rare. “:
2 words?
““”There are at least 319,000,000 results for “4×4″ in major search engines. ”
That is not the metric the matters, the exact match is what it matters…
“4×4 pictures” has About 221,000 results
and according to the “google keyword tool” the term has an anemic 110 exact searches globally per month.
(granted that the CPC is good but searches are..uffff!)
No semi-serious developer will touch this domain.
And really if you have to explain why the domain is good? (or not) to a potential buyer I say he is not the optimum buyer… pass.
accent says
It looks pretty silly when they break a LLLL.com into “keywords” and tout the millions of searches for the letter “K” as an advantage. Then they say that two word domains are rare when there are no words in the domain at all.
Mentioning that DNS has 40,000 similar domains distracts the buyer from the domain they were considering.
These are going to have to be set manually or they will convince customers that nobody is paying attention.
BreakingNews.VC says
buyers often forget that each domain is unique, so, don’t buy it, may mean lose it forever
