A UDRP has been filed on the domain name MyBank.com.
The domain just came off of privacy days ago at Moniker.com
MyBank.com was under privacy since 2009 before privacy was removed a few days ago.
MyBank.com back in 2009 was owned by another party than currently appears to hold the domain.
The domain shows a original registration date of 2002 when it was owned by Berea National Bank which appears to have been the original registrant.
The is one trademark with the USPTO on the term My Bank and it was filed back in 1995 by First United National Bank & Trust and the trademark was renewed in 2011.
The domain name MyBank.com, is currently parked with ads for generic banking services and accounts.
The domain name appears to have been parked since at least 2009 as well.
It should be an interesting one and we will let you know how it turns out.

Will this mean that someone will be going after some of mine like:
MyHospital.com
MyVision.com
MyTraffic.com
or how about
MyAsshole.com
MyHardOn.com
MyLeftHand.com
ONLY If someone can lay claim to BANK then they can lay claim to MyBank.com – otherwise – regardless of TMs – they need to prove secondary meaning – and that is non-existent.

Mike, what are other formerly known My***.*** UDRPs?
One can bet this one is not the first one.
Michael Berkens says
There are a lot
Many however have my with a well known TM another current one for example is mypaypal.com
GM lost the UDRP on mycadillac.com but it wasn’t a parked page
Here we have a 25 year old registered trademark with a 4 year history of a parked page

MystinkinAsshole.com
MyBullshit.com
on and on and on…..
It brings more drama to the domain world.

Strike 1:
Complainant is very local like the furthest 2 branches are 200 miles apart. – The way I understand it – for generics to take on secondary meaning they need to be in at least 5 states
Strike 2:
My Bank New Mexico is about as local as the Complainant – demonstrating NO Secondary meaning as well.
Strike 3:
HelpWithMyBank.gov demonstrates the huge burden the Complainant needs to overcome in exploiting the generic term and commonly used term “My Bank”.
Plus several other registered TM’s contain MY BANK per the USPTO.
Hopefully this is not like the Korean guy that just rolled over on NiceCar.com
