I think it would have been better as ‘Private Web’ that goes along with the whole secure PW or ‘password’ appearance.
The thing is they made a great play on ‘professional web’ and it gets people talking about and thinking about it which is priceless in terms of marketing. These guys get an A+ for getting the word out in my opinion. You can joke about it all day long, but getting an extension out there can’t be easy and this one is starting to prove they can do it.

They are getting in while the market is hungry and is hearing about new extensions. Next year they would never be able to do what they are doing right now with thousands of other extensions to compete with. it’s smart.

For the most part new gTLD’s will not have two letter domains

Hello MHB,
I think this whole cherade is hilarious. Most if not all of the End-Users who will use these will be predominately Techies or Techie advised End-Users who have no clue about Marketing strategies. They would rather go down with the ship than swallow their pride and buy a .COM Virtual Business Foundation.( Ignorance on Fire !)
Gratefully, Jeff Schneider (Contact Group) (Metal Tiger)

Michael – Why do you think most registries will not release two character domains?
Interesting that so few LLs remain. My host had to use a special CPanel plug in a few years ago to handle a LL domain (A Dot LA, a little better than Dot PW, I would think).

no, dot la is garbage too, it’s a turd with slightly less stink than .pw. Get a grip my man, you too registered feces.

Ever hear of Los Angeles? Most people who live there often call it “LA”. And yes, I know it is really Laos. And the sales were not to Los Angeles.
Anyway the proof is in the results. The two I have sold have paid double the full cost of all seven I bought. I can’t say that yet for my .Coms, although I have had most of them for less time.

Two letter domains are restricted by the Guidebook.
A registry will need special permission from ICANN to release anyone of them.
Definitely any two letter equal to a country code ccTLD is going to be a no go.
