The .PW registry which is billing itself as the The Professional Web, announced this morning that after the completion of the Sunrise and Land Rush Period .PW domain names are now in General Availability meaning that they are being registered on a first come first serve basis.
Over 100 ICANN accredited registrars are taking live registration for a .PW domain name.
As far as cost goes I see one at least one registrar, Encirca.com is registering domains for as low as $5 for the 1st year with regular registrations at $11 a year.
DomainMonster.com is charging $9.99 per year for a .Pw registration
If your a registrar feel free to leave any pricing info in the comment section

I put in a bunch of short random generic words, and all the obvious ones are taken already. But while Dog.pw was taken, Puppy.pw is still available … so hurry! 😉

Dynadot is charging $4.99

If the .PW stroke stands for Professional Web – does that now mean that .PRO stands for PROphylactic ?

Still got my .biz, .asia, .name, .tel, and .mobi that were all purchased during landrush. Not sure if I really want to add .PW or “Professional Web” to my portfolio yet.
**Sarcasm**

Since Juan Calle says that .co does not mean Colombia, maybe he can come up with a creative twist on .pw?
BrianWick says
So Rob –
Just got word from the spin doctors. PW is actually for Pussy Whipped “domainers”
Grim says
It’s funny, PussyWhipped.pw is actually taken.
3D is my life says
Guys, since the whole .co = company thing failed, unconfirmed rumors have been circulating that the marketing spin will transition to porn as .co will now mean copulation/coitus.
BrianWick says
“PussyWhipped.pw is actually taken.”,
And never to be used – and that is why all the money is being a registry – sell garbage that will never be used 🙂

We’re trying to keep prices consistent across registration and renewal.
We did very well during the launch though, securing 91% of the pre-orders we took. Not a bad return!
I hope some TheDomains readers got to take advantage of it.
Thank you for the mention Michael.
