*sigh*
We should get together a put up a “UDRP help site” that includes the long and growing list of RDNH decisions in cases of frivilous UDRP filings.
This is just ridiculous.

I think our friend Mr. Schwartz has the closest thing to is on Ricksblog.com

That’s great for those of us in the industry or attached to it in some way, but for those people and companies who are not in the industry, a little “resource” site wouldn’t be a bad idea.
It’s not that such a thing would stop this kind of UDRP or a company like Proctor & Gamble. But, think about this: that recent P&G decision is pretty powerful. I’m sure they’re smarting from the “swash” ruling; after all, look how many generics they use for brands. Put that kind of information on the site, along with the appropriate commentary, and it might be enough to scare smaller companies from a cavalier indulgence of legal chance.
Look, you have Marcio Mello Chaves, who is a trademark attorney, and a consumer goods powerhouse like P&G, with household names like “crest” and “tide”, and both are now labeled reverse domain hijackers. That’s potent stuff. Imagine what we could do with the rest of the names on the RDNH list, and those to come.
Hey, it’s just a thought.
Nat Cohen says
Through a group effort, we’ve compiled a list of 124 RDNH decisions on gTLD domains at RDNH.com.
Many high value domains in the list-
wallstreet.com
mexico.com
rain.com
takeout.com
stmoritz.com
dw.com
mess.com
ode.com
newzealand.com
prom.com
elk.com
decal.com
aroma.com
and several three-letter dot-com domains-
bsa.com
fcc.com
ikb.com
onu.com
sfm.com
sha.com
Since many UDRPs are on worthless domains like lego-labs.info and opi-nail-polish-wholesale.com, I wonder whether the primary economic impact of the UDRP is to try to steal valuable domains, rather than to transfer cybersquatted domains of marginal value. Perhaps the total value of the domains on the list of RDNH cases is greater than the total value of all the domains that have been ordered transferred.

Much respect and gratitude to Michael, Danny, Nat, and Rick Schwartz for continuing to publicize the actions of “deep pocket” bullies and their crapshoot UDRPs. There should be a downside penalty for when they lose BS cases like the recent P&G case. Thanks guys.

Thanks Nat, the site ranks at the top already, I found it yesterday while searching for a particular case… invaluable.
