Of course Watergate is the “home of the political scandal that occurred in the United States in the 1970s as a result of the June 1972 break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate office complex in Washington, D.C., and the Nixon administration’s attempted cover-up of its involvement. The scandal eventually led to the resignation of Richard Nixon, the President of the United States, on August 9, 1974, the only resignation of a U.S. President”

The domain name TheWatergateHotel.com, was registered to the  The Watergate Hotel back in 2003.

The domain then was registered to a  Monument Realty of Washington until 2011 when it was transferred to the present owner a  Rassul Hashemi of Virgina whose contact information is with the  sierracorporation.com

However the domain goes to a picture of the hotel with the following information

However the domain name WatergateHotel.com is going to a Godaddy placeholder page.

The domain WatergateHotel.com was owned according to DomainTools.com by TravelClick Interactive until it was transferred to the same Monument Realty of Washington in 2007 and now is owned also by Rassul Hashemi,  of sierracorporation.com

According to Wikipedia.org, the ownership of the complex has gone through a complicated series of ownership in over the last few years but which is now owned by one of the complainant to the UDRP Euro Capital Properties.
