TechCrunch is reporting that ForexPros.com bought the domain name Investing.com for $2.45 million dollars.
The domain is now registered to a Fusion Media Ltd out of Tortola.
The transaction appears to have closed on November.
The company plans to use the domain “into a one-stop shop for financial traders and investors around the globe by providing streaming, realtime data and financial analytics”.
The domain will become the highest selling domain of 2012 on the DnJournal.com list of top selling domain names.
The domain was owned by ICOM, of Henderson, Nevada.
The domain name Invest.com sold for $1 Million dollars in 2008 and was up for sale earlier this year.
The highest sales to date of 2012 according to DnJournal is personalloans.com for $1 million dollars.
