A few nice sales this last week at NameJet.com with ePan.com leading the way at over $15K and BigMall.com selling for over $8K.
Here are the sales we tracked for the week:
epan.com | $15,088 |
bigmall.com | $8,200 |
gomusic.com | $5,599 |
equitymortgage.com | $4,549 |
chinaenergy.com | $4,500 |
mallets.com | $4,400 |
scottsdalerentals.com | $3,550 |
activegames.com | $2,000 |
There were several three letter .com that drew bids into the mid $x,xxx range but none of them cleared reserve.
Not sure what the owner was looking for but random three letter.com without any meaning are only going to get a mid 4 figure bid at on a liquidation platform.

EquityMortgage.com was stolen.
I guess I’ll have to start paying attention to the expiry auctions again.

Clarify: metaphorically, not literally, stolen, for 4500 bucks.

LOL L, that's twice you've missed the auction of that domain at NameJet in less than 11 months: in July last year there was a no reserve public auction for EquityMortgage.com where it sold for $5,000:

@ Fizz
Yeah. I haven’t been keeping track of this stuff on a day to day basis.
Bought like a maniac in 2009, 2010, put on the brakes when things started picking up again in 2011, although always on the casual lookout for bargains.
I haven’t looked up its ownership or development history but the fact that it sold for 5K, then resold for 4500 in less than a year, hints that whoever paid 5K for it didn’t get the parking/lead gen yield he had anticipated.
That’s a hugely lucrative vertical, albeit in a distressed industry. Now’s probably a good time to buy a name like that.
Is there a .mortgage in the pike?
If so, pay attention to what equity.mortgage sells for in the pre-release auction, then resolve that with that.com selling for $4500.

Nice steal – that’s a $50,000 domain to an end user.
