DnJournal.com wrote a few weeks ago that Francois of Domaining.com was organizing a Domain Sale which would pay back bloggers by sharing the commissions collected and divide and distribute them to the bloggers that help spread the word about the event.
We declined to participate since we do not accept money for writing or refraining from writing stories, however I told Francois just to support domaining.com I would publish the list of domains to be sold to help out and to contribute my share of the proceeds to the other bloggers.
So here you go:
This is the official list of the domain name included in this very special sale:
“””To give a sale chance to everyone the domains that were not picked will be promoted in our next newsletter and could also be found from this RSS feed:
http://www.cax.com/rss/newsletter/
The names are sold in a first come first served, just visit the associated sale page and click the “Buy It” button or respond to this newsletter with a SOLD.
If you like a domain but estimate it’s not well priced for you then know that from tomorrow we’ll also accept you make you best offer, simply remember a more motivated buyer may shortcut you.

a couple or so seem useful
Alan says
Not a bad list, but some of the names will become obsolete in a couple of years.
Shane Cultra says
I have new respect for people putting together lists and auctions. You get a ton of entries. Most of which are overpriced and 90% have no chance of selling. I think we came up with a pretty decent list out of names submitted. There are a few on there I can’t believe didn’t sell immediately. Still early in the day.
maths says
What is 10% of nothing?
Shane Cultra says
Maths,
Too late, already something. Not many sold but the number is already way ahead of the number of girls that find you remotely attractive
David says
Not sure why you guys didn’t pick BuyGames.co. It seems alot better than most on the list.
Dave
40z says
I see some good names in the list
Elliot says
LMFAO at the $125,000 asking price for dvdplayer.com! I wouldn’t pay $1,000 for that name – maybe $500, but that’s tops.
Overall, a pretty crappy list of names, not worth even bidding on.
John says
The list is not good and agree with Elliot on dvdplayer.com
Don’t worry maths I am sure the number of women finding you attractive is still higher than the number of people who find Shane funny.
Jax says
Hyla.com is nice and good price (not mine). Some of these don’t seem like domainer to domainer prices. cheers
Shane Cultra says
John,
Nice. Probably true. I take it I’m going to have to scratch you off the list of those that do? Now down to 3.
On a serious note, I figure it’s better to try and make something happen even if it doesn’t work out perfectly. I always used to see the lists and auctions and say, I could pick better names than that, or why would they put that name. Life is simple when all you do is question. It becomes a little more challenging when you actually have to answer them.
40z says
@shane
Yes I would agree the domain biz its a lot more challenging that it seems when you roll up your sleeves and start doing it. Everyone hears about dudu.com selling for $1 million and thinks its easy to make money in domains.
Many of the high profile sales by domainers are the guys that have thousands or even hundreds of thousands of names of their own. Or Sedo that has millions and millions of listings.
I have a lot of respect for the guy that buys a domain, then just picks up the phone and calls end users himself and gets it sold. That seems to be the part of the business everyone wants to avoid.
Kevin says
How many sold so far?
Ron says
Lots of these names have been kicked around for many years, and are recent drop catches in the aftermarket, nothing new here.
Hard to pitch anything to domainers, just to random…
Ron says
ArizonaRealtor.com is a TM, suprised you guys didn’t pick up on that.
Alan says
2012Election……….$20K………what happens when it’s over in 10 months?
SF says
One of these days,
…the domainer to domainer to domainer to domainer to domainer market
should become more of a domainer to end user market. Won’t it be cool!
Dave says
Don’t understand why someone would buy 2012Election.com when its sitting here for $1241 BIN on SEDO???
http://sedo.com/search/details.php4?domain=2012election.com&trackingRequestId=22449852&tracked=&partnerid=&language=us
Alan says
@Dave
2012Election dot com is listed with GoDaddy Auctions for $1034…….ya think the owner would
pull it from Sedo and GoDaddy before listing it with Cax for $20K!
