According to a posting on HuntingMoon.com tonight, the adult domain name Auction scheduled to end today will end tomorrow.
According to Evan Horowitz who I spoke to just a few minutes ago, the site saw a “tremendous amount of bidding activity in the last 20 seconds causing the server to crash”.
In fairness to all bidders and the sellers HuntingMoon.com is opening the auction up tomorrow at 4PM EST, only for registered bidders for 20 minutes (unless extended)
New Bidders will not be allowed.
Here is the information and the announcement:
Important HuntingMoon Auction Completion Information
Please be advised, that due to a technical issue, all domain auctions were paused prior to close.
Please disregard any winner notices that you may have received on Thursday.
Only registered bidders will be allowed to participate in the restart.
Since the technical issue occurred on or around 20 seconds left in the auctions, it is unlikely that a user who was unregistered would have both registered and placed bids, so we are restricting the auction access to only registered bidders.
The auctions will open at 4:00 PM Eastern Time/1:00 PM Pacific Time Friday October 7, 2011.
There will be a 20 minute bidding window for registered bidders (new registrations are closed).
There will be 6 minutes added to the auctions for late bids.
So the new auction end time is 4:20 PM Eastern Time/1:20 PM Pacific Time on Friday 10/7 plus 6 minutes per late bid.
Thank you for helping to make the Webmaster Access domain auction a success! We appreciate your understanding.
