About 10 days ago we wrote a post about the domain name TeaParty.com which was owned by a band up in Canada, which went public saying they would consider selling the domain for an amount in the 7 figures.
The story was picked up by CNN yesterday and TheDomains.com appeared on TV screens around the country as the background for the story.
A good domainer friend was nice enough to take a picture of his TV when TheDomains.com was upon CNN and sent it to me
Here you go:
Rock and roll man! Hey so look at your traffic logs for that time. How significant was the effect?
Nice work –
very good
(and very hard to find the CNN video)
Excellent Mike. IMO the CNN coverage would have generated an even larger traffic spike if your banner read TheDomains.com rather than what appeared on TV screens around the country, namely TheDomains.
That’s fabulous news, hooray for traffic spikes and good publicity.
Nice !!!!
Well deserved.
Nice, congrats on the exposure. Did you get a little surge of traffic from it? I can’t help but think it would have been great if your logo had your full URL in it (ie: TheDomains.com), clearly at the top of the page, then people could have more easily known your website address.
Very nice work, Mike. Thanks to you and the other bloggers who do so much for the industry.

Your advertising spots just increased 10 fold.
Very Cool. Congrats on becoming a nationally-known brand!
As Jeff said – DomainAdvertising got more than their money’s worth this month.
would love to know what sort of traffic spike there was, if any.
Lucky he had his camera ready at that exact time!
Who was on the “Recent Comments” section at the side, I cant see.
Can anyone see?
Tom
I don’t it
He probably has directv or another DVR system, saw it live, backed it up and then took the pic.
