The domain name GAZ.com just sold on Sedo for 40,000 Euro’s or around $55,000 on one bid in an auction that just ended
My pick as the buyer of the domain, but just a guess is Gaz automotive group out of Russia
According to their site, “GAZ GROUP IS RUSSIA’S LARGEST AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING HOLDING” company.
You can read more about this company here
If it is the Russian automaker then its a steal.
If not the Russian company than there are some gaming related uses for the term Gaz so it could be game related.
According to Sedo.com the domain name generated over 3,500 Unique visitors last month.

Goes to show, there are no such things as ‘bad letters’ in a three letter .com

$50K is about right for a top-quality pronounceable LLL.com with a S/Z spelling problem. Comparable top-quality pronounceable LLL.com without spelling issue would be $100K+, possibly much more. Buyer in a situation like that is likely to be any startup looking a really nice short random brand.

Just for info, in French: GAS is GAZ.
So yes it was a bargain sale if the buyer was an end user and a fair price if it was a domainer.
For me that was a premium domain that deserved to be hold waiting the right buyer.

How much are you selling your
LLL.Co
for?
Received an offer of $500. Rejected offer. Are you kidding me I said LLL.Co are even shorter than LLL.com and should be worth at least the same.

2 other possibilities:
1. it’s a cybersquatter targeting the russian automaker (i.e. their true intent is to sell the name to that company in the future)
2. it’s a domainer hoping to profit from traffic intended for that company that is currently going to gaz.com

“Are you kidding me I said LLL.Co are even shorter than LLL.com and should be worth at least the same.”
Why should they be worth the same?
LLL in any ccTLD are shorter than .COM.
That is a very simplistic view on value.
