The Month once again starts off with a conference and this time it’s the Domain Roundtable which runs March 1th-4th at Atlantis in Paradise Island.

Hope to see everyone there.

The South By Southwest set of conferences run from March 11th-20th in Austin Texas.
The Tech Summit part of the conference runs on March 16th and 17th.
The price of attending the Tech Summit is $750.
The ICANN San Fransisco Meeting will be held from March 13th-18th at the Westin St Francis.
There is no charge to attend the meeting and you can register for it in advanced here.
Since ICANN has already stated that it will not take a vote on the new gTLD’s and will be releasing another Guidebook on April 14th, the only major decision up for vote should be the approval of ICM Registry application to operate the .XXX registry.
Sedo.com has two featured domain auctions in March.
The 1st of these auctions will be a GreatDomains.com auction which will run from March 17th-24th.
The second featured auction by Sedo features Travel & Tourism domains and runs from March 24th- March 31st.

While it’s true that ICANN’s Board will not make a final decision to approve the new gTLD Applicant Guidebook in San Francisco, they will engage in a formal consultation with the GAC on Thursday, March 17 that may well decide the final details of many provisions of that Guidebook — including rights protections and the URS.
Trademark interests will be out in force in SF urging the Board to capitulate to the GAC’s demands — it would be good to have as many people as possible with the opposite view there to urge the Board to stand firm and protect the integrity of ICANN’s policy making process, and to reject reopening the reasonably balanced version of the URS it now contains and adopting changes that are grossly biased against registrants. Otherwise the URS will be a low-cost alternative means for a complainant to obtain a domain that makes the current UDRP, flawed as it is, look like a model of fairness.

Thanks for putting this list together, Michael. A couple additional notes:
The part of the SXSW conference that will probably appeal most to those in the domain industry is the Interactive Festival March 11-15
http://sxsw.com/interactive
There were a lot of domainers and domain companies there last year.
Also, some readers may be interested in PubCon South on March 8-9 in Austin (timed to end just before SXSW Interactive):

I’ll be at PubCon on behalf of media.net.
