Its going to be another busy month in the Domain and Internet world, top heavy with a bunch of events and shows in the first half of the month.
The iGaming domain name auction ends on Feburary 1 on Snapnames.com.
The auction includes such gems as Wagering.com, Poker.me and Roulette.ca.
The most attended domain show of the year also kicks off on February 1st at DomainFest Global (DFG).
DFG will be held from February 1st-4th at the Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica.
Bob Parsons the founder and CEO of Godaddy.com will be the Keynote speaker.
There will be many non-domainers speaking including search engine guru Danny Sullivan, Ken Hansen of Neustar, Eli Goodman of comScore,
Some of the best known domainers will be speaking as well including Frank Schilling Larry Fischer and yours truly.
There will also be fireside chat with Ben Mezrich, Author of “The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal” a PITCHFest, two live domain auctions.
The main auction will be held on February 3rd at 4:30pm PST and remote bidding will be available on snapnames.com, with pre-bidding already opened
The no/low reserve auction will be held on Feburary 1st at 1pm EST and pre-bidding is already opened.

There will also be Dine with the Experts a series where 9 attendees get to Dine with one of the speakers.
I’m hosting a lunch on Thursday Feburary 3rd and thankfully I’m sold out.

February 6th is Super Bowl and the long awaited Godaddy.com commercial promoting the .Co extension will air during the game and the big reveal of the new Godaddy.co girl.
The Superbowl is the most watched show of the year and several Internet companies are expected to advertise.
Should be interesting to see what effect the Godaddy Commercial has on the .Co extension.
Feburary 6th also is the start of one of the biggest adult shows of the year XBIZLA.
The XBIZ LA show runs from February 6th-9th and is being held at the Sofitel Hotel In Los Angeles.

The cost to attend the show appears to be $250
Immediately after the XBIZ LA show the XBIZretailexpo.com starts which runs at the same hotel starting Feburary 9th and ending Feb 11th.
The cost to attend both shows is $350.
On February 8th a new conference kicks off their inaugural show.
The DOT-NXT.com conference will be held at the Hyatt in San Francisco from Feburary 8th-10th.
The conference which is geared for those looking to apply for new gTLD’s and those looking to provide services for them.
Among those scheduled to speak are Rod Beckstrom the CEO of ICANN, Juan Calle of the .Co registry John Berryhill and Monte Cahn.

The second half of the Month looks like time to get some work done and gear up for March which will start off with Domain Roundtable in the Bahamas March 1 and ICANN meeting in the middle of the month.
