Last week we wrote about Jeff Gabriel who resigned from Sedo, and today comes word that James Tuplin, Director Of Operations UK for NameDrive LLC is leaving the company.
In a statement sent to customers James wrote:
“”As some of you may know, this month will be my last working @ NameDrive.”
“I would like to take this opportunity thank each and everyone of you for your friendship, support and business over the last 5 years and wish you the very best for the future.”

Hello Mike,
It comes as no surprise to you and me that the brightest and most capable people are moving to the development and web creation sector. There will be the launch of some MAJOR newcomer businesses in the coming year. Most bright people realize that the typical corporate structure kills creativity and they yearn to do it better. Many of the old Garde corporations will be replaced by new comers and these people and others sense it and are moving to a position of strength.
To be continued:

Most of us are either moving on or diversifying away from domain parking/sales.
Sales will get hotter in the coming years, but parking is only going to get worse without a intermediary force disrupting the status quo that Bing and Google have imposed on their partners.
Also, parking companies are not growing, in fact shrinking, so it makes sense to move on to something fun, new, and exciting.
I think you are right that in 2011 many folks will choose to move on. Life is short. Why wait around and listen to people like me bitch about my parking earnings. There’s more to life.

With Namedrive’s recent acquisition by the Luxemburg based BIP Invesment Fund (s. http://www.bip.lu and http://www.namedrive.com/services/About?lang=en), I would not be surprised if there were other people leaving/joining the company in the weeks to come.
Frank Michlick (DNN) says
As Rémy already says there are bigger changes in the making at NameDrive (DNN). The company received an investment, changed its office locations and apparently personnel (still investigating the details of that one).

I agree, it does seem more and more people are starting their own projects instead of taking the corporate route forever.
I think there is no better time than now to work on a new startup.

I agree, it’s what I’m trying to do with many projects

James will be greatly missed by all at NameDrive, as a collegue of his for a number of years I speak for us all when we wish him all the very best.
NameDrive’s recent investment means greater opportunities for expansion within the market and we have a number of new products and features being launched in the coming months.
Although a couple of our collegues have moved on to other prospects, We have a strong expierienced core team, and are expanding with new, fresh faces and ideas to follow.
All accounts previously managed by James have been transitioned to new account managers and most have recieved emails from the new manager and the rest will be sent out within the next few hours.
A more in depth view of NameDrive’s new structure will be released very soon but in the mean time if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to let us know, info@namedrive.co.uk
Thank you for your continued support,
