The domain name ModelingAgencies.com sold today on NameJet.com for $16,300
Its sister domain name that dropped on the same day and was also caught by NameJet.com, ModelAgencies.com sold for just $2,500.
It pretty unusually for a longer similar domain to sell for 8X more than the longer version but in this case I think it’s warranted.
The same bidder Id did not get both domains.
Another pair of domains got some love at NameJet.com with SolarElectricPanels.com selling for $9,600, while the singular solarelectricpanel.com sold for $3,100.
In other NameJet.com auctions the domain BeautyBuzz.com fetched $4,900, Treasured.com sold for $3,309, FlyingDutchman.com sold for $2,850 and a hyphenated domain sun-glasses.com sold for $2K.

I cannot believe the prices that Name Jet gets. It is just crazy to me.

I had stopped looking for backorders at Namejet because I couldn’t see why anyone would want 98% of them. The few that were worthwhile would typically get bid up like these model domains. Well, it will be interesting to see what they do with them…

I always wonder who are the buyers. Are they insiders of the company? Did money ever change hand–yea I want to see the money changing hand.
Like any transactions, it is rigged until the $$$$ transaction is completed and I want prove.
