Its been pointed out to me that Oversee.net, which owns its own parking platform at DomainSponsor.com, is parking at least some of its company owned domains at HitFarm.com.
If you check out the following domains for example you will see they are all owned by “OS Portfolio Holdings, LLC Care of Oversee Domain Management, LLC”, listing as admin contact of admin@overseedomainmanagement.com, with an address matching that of Oversee.net yet they are all going to a HitFarm parked page, and even have HitFarm Servers:
Chop.com
socialscience.com
meilitu.com
nethelp.com
alright.com
racingtoday.com
aztecs.com
Of course there can be several reasons that these domains could be parked at HitFarm, including that maybe Oversee bought these domains that were already parked at HitFarm and they simple neglected to change to servers or that Google maybe is blocking the particular term or URL from their system.
I’m not saying there is anything wrong with it, but its sure interesting, especially when some of Oversee’s domains have Hitfarm servers listed on the whois.
Well, something is up because I watched a domain delete and it should have become available but within moments of its drop, the WHOIS changed to what you mentioned and now its parked.. Hmmm…
I hope for Oversee’s sake everything here is on the up and up, because after the Halvarez fiasco the last thing they need is another scandal.
Brad
maybe they are spying.
Also, Oversee has names parked at Octane360, as well.
I will research to rediscover which ones I had seen.
Can’t imagine this would be kosher.
They also used to forward traffic to Sedo, not sure if that still the case.
Maybe they are just doing this for competition monitoring purposes. It’s obvious you have to look at what your competitors do in order to know their strengths and weaknesses better, at least for adapting your sales pitch accordingly.
All you guys your guess is as good as mine, just raising the issue
It’s probably just a way to check out the competition to see if their competitors are doing a better job than them at monetizing domains.
Like any good domainer does, is test the waters and see which parking system pays out more…hahaha, which is kind of ironic since they have their own parking system…
Why would you post stuff like that? Why not worry about your own biz?
I’m not any DS associate, but come on.
One thing that pisses me off is that Chop.com shows a child and a doctor, clearly trying to monetize Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (or maybe Pittsburgh) traffic. Children’s Hospital in Philly is almost always referred to as Chop, and Pittsburgh’s is know as Chopi.
Chop.com would be fine in my books with knife-related ppc links, but it’s obvious they better converting traffic is people looking for Children’s Hospital information and it sucks that they’re monetizing it in this way.
Why does that Chirag persona always post bits of other previously made comments? It happens on my blog and it seems to be a domainer spam bot.
