NameMedia today announced the launch of Afternic Portfolio Manager a new, easy-to-use domain distribution and inventory management tool for large portfolio owners to sell their names through the industry’s largest domain marketplace at AfternicDLS.

Afternic Portfolio Manager is available immediately at no cost.

“Afternic Portfolio Manager provides our customers the ability reconcile their inventory in a single request, while providing instantaneous add, edit, and remove domain functionality,” said David Hauser, NameMedia Senior Vice President. “Today’s launch means that large portfolio owners have a reliable, flexible and simple web service solution to effectively manage inventory in real-time while placing the domain names for sale at AfternicDLS,”

” TurnCommerce, a leading domain development company, has been using the product to list and sell its domain names over the past month, and has seen a 20%  increase in domain names sold since using it. ”

    1. I’d have thought Sedo was “the most productive platform for connecting domain sellers with domain buyers”. No?

I remember similar boasts when Fab rolled out their ‘domain distribution network’ though I don’t know of anyone who has continued to see such results; I stand to be corrected.
That said, they don’t say what they (TurnCommerce) were doing to get sales beforehand; maybe nothing.

I will believe those claims after someone like Mike, Ron J., etc confirms similar results.

If you ask the winner of a lottery about his results, his opinion might be different than the majority.

I don’t believe that hype one single bit.

I venture to guess that is fabricated.

I had a lot of success selling domains at afternic about 5-10 years ago. It’s been dead
for about the last 5 years, while Sedo is holding strong. I am glad Afternic is being pro-active because they have been really falling.

    Thanks, Jim

My name is Sarah and I manage the product for AfternicDLS. I thought it would be good to explain a bit more about the solution we are rolling out.

We are looking to make it easy and timely for domain holders to manage their portfolio, while reaching the largest end user audience in the aftermarket. AfternicDLS aims to provide the greatest distribution breadth while targeting the greatest amount of end-users/SMBs.

We realize in our fast growing market we must be pro-active in offering as many sales channels available, while providing simple and reliable tools to sell domain names.

Please contact our team if you are interested in learning more or selling through AfternicDLS: 1-866-351-9586

Sarah, above you state that you ‘target’ end-users/SMBs through your new system. Is this the case, and if so, how is this beinbg accomplished?

What are the specifics on the fee/commission stucture on this particular domain portfolio sales platform ?

    Thanks for the questions.

James: Yes, the objective at AfternicDLS (domain listing service) is to have a platform that targets end-users and SMBs. We have done this through creating a promotional level called “Premium Promotion”. What that does, is lists your names not only on Afternic.com, but also will list your names at more than 22 partners including Network Solutions and Register.com. The Afternic Portfolio Manager provides value on the Inventory Management front and places the domains on the end-user targeted sites.

NetJohn: The sales fee for using the product is only at time of sale – which is 20% for Premium Promotion.

More information about our distribution levels can be found at: http://www.afternic.com/promotion-upgrade.php

If you want to discuss further, please contact our team at your convenience: 1-866-351-9586.

Sarah’s trustworthy, and I think it is very impressive to see her proactively posting comments and discussing the offering.

    This speaks loudly, NameMedia! Classy!

” TurnCommerce, a leading domain development company”

I know of them to be a volume buyer of expiring domains (mostl at low prices) as well as a retailer/reseller….Could you please point out a handful of the developed domains that show/illustrate their lead in domain development ? ….Thanks in advance.
