The Public Interest Registry, the company that runs the .Org registry released today their first bi-annual domain name report, “The Dashboard“. (pdf file)
“The Dashboard” revealed that registrations for .ORG domain names grew 11%, up to 7.69 million total registrations in the first half of 2009, compared to a year ago.
From January to June, .ORG’s experienced the highest percentage growth rate of any TLD at 5% (.com growth was at 3.2% and .mobi was the only TLD to show a decline in registrations).
The report also noted a renewal rate of 73.7% for .ORG registrations for the first half of the year.
