According to TechCrunch.com, an Australian company that’s been offering freelance jobs online since 2004, using the domain GetAFreeLancer.com, recently acquired the domain Freelancer.com for “a six figure sum”.
The domain according to the article was purchased from a private individual who used to run a magazine called Computer Freelancer.
So although we don’t know the exact price of the domain, we can add another good domain to the six figure sales list for this year.

As they should. Buying up domain names to sell later is tasteless and counter-productive to society. Yet another useless deadweight middleman enters the scene to reap the benefits.
