The domain MicroJets.com sold for $5,100 on NameJet..com.
MicroJets are the new generation of small lightweight jets, also knows an very light jets.
With the domain Jets.com for sale at Sedo.com for $1.2 Million, I think this was a very good buy.
Here are some other notable sales from Namejet.com in the last couple of days:
ringmagazine.com | $6,980 |
microjets.com | $5,100 |
washingtonhomes.com | $4,166 |
wirelessonline.com | $3,600 |
thanksgivingdinner.com | $3,600 |
mycredit.org | $2,350 |
humans.net | $2,109 |
pals.net | $2,000 |
performanceart.com | $1,600 |

Good news for me. I registered MicroJets.de a few years ago.

Michael do you think WashingtonHomes.com was cheap, seems like a great price IMO.

Dot
I think WashingtonHomes.com was a good buy, but I like Microjets.com better

bedinabag.com $5,199 7/31/2009

D, and I’m sure the buyer missed all the
TM’s on that one too…. not a good buy.

@ Leonard – I own “holidaycenterpieces.com” and every holiday this domain spikes in PPC payouts. I should have it built out with CPA’s if I wasn’t so busy and/or lazy.
I think ThanksgivingDinner.com sold for WAAAAY cheap. This domain will provide recipes, tips on family happiness, designs, decorations, history, products, and… everyone in America knows about Thanksgiving and spends some time somewhere celebrating it. I admit that one time in my early 30’s, I decided not to go to my parents because my friend’s parents were in Idaho and he couldn’t get off work to fly up there. So we hit a Thanksgiving buffet at a corporate-run restaurant nightclub, and were astonished to see the place packed with people. There was tons of food of all kinds, inexpensive drinks, and girls.
Thanksgiving… big big big… this domain ThanksgivingDinner.com was sold for cheap.
@ D — I agree with Cartoonz
@DotWTF – I agree with you on this one… this domain is worth at minimum three times as much. Imagine pointing this domain to Century 21’s regional sites for Washington DC or Washington State home sales. At least 1000 eyeballs a month for buying homes… and the cost of this domain is paid on the first sale. (This is where I go into BMM mode (Bill Maher Mode):
“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY? DON’T THESE GROUND POUNDERS UNDERSTAND THE VALUE OF GEO DOMAINS RELATING TO THEIR BUSINESS?
okay. I feel better now.

I’m often surprised how much Stephen and I think alike.
ThanksgivingDinner.com has a lot of potential.
And, who might be the potential advertisers?
Many we already know.
But, what happens the next day?
Black Friday.
Since, newspapers are disappearing, the distribution of printed retailer flyers is becoming more difficult. Maybe, the major retailers would be a target (no punn intended) to advertise on the site?

Agree with DotWTF and Steven about WashingtonHomes.com. That is a very good deal. Google stats suggest it’s a money maker just with parking but the real money is reselling to a big broker or developing and selling ad space.
Obviously, the real estate biz is hurting and it’s just a great time to pick up RE related domains.
BTW, PassportPhoto.com ends today at Snapnames.com. It’s an open auction. It’s at $3527 with a couple hours to go. Anything under $5K is a good deal IMO.
Tony says
PassportPhoto.com went for $5,928.

I didn’t love passportphoto.com.
1st its singular and second its a true off line business
Tony says
Mike,
About the offline business aspect, I thought so too but saw ePassportPhoto.com which does it online. Unfortunately, they do it for FREE. Not sure how they do it and how they make money though.
Singular vs Plural isn’t much different on Google KWT but agree the plural sounds better for a business.

The company that trademarked the word string “bed-in-a-bag” has gone bankrupt and a quick search of Google shows it to be quite a common and generic phrase used by many. Great buy.
Ozie Jackson says
The far more obvious trademark issue could be ringmagazine.com. Now this could truly be a poor buy at $7k although I am not sure if The Ring magazine actually trademarked the street name for their publication, “ring magazine”.
On the other hand American Express didn’t register the street name for their Centurion card; the “Black Card”, and got one upped by Visa who registered blackcard.com. It will be interesting to me to see who and how ringmagazine.com gets developed.
