As Hall of Fame catcher, Yogi Berra once said its “Deja Vu all over again“, at least at Namejet.com where the Domain Toxic.com is making its third appearance.
You may recall that the domain, Toxic.com was first auctioned off by NameJet.com on May 4th where it sold for $56,566.
The auction winner failed to pay.
Then Toxic was re-auctioned and sold for just over $40K, but again the winner failed to pay.
This caused in large part NameJet.com to announced a new dead beat bidder policy in June which actually seems to be working.
Right now Toxic is back on backorder with a high bid of $9,999.
So the good news is you still have time to get on board for round 3, the bad news is you’ll be joining 235 other bidders who have already backordered the domain.
Maybe the third time will be the charm.

…or maybe that name is “toxic”! 🙂 Just kidding…but on a serious note, hopefully it goes to a person who pays this time.

Maybe NameJet should sell it on Sedo lol

You never know when bidding on on namejet if you are getting bid up by someone who wouldn’t pay if they won. Its kind of frustrating in a sense

hi mikey,
Toxic.com for $9999 is a great start. However, the real “phrase” that the word “toxic’ applies to for the consumer is “toys. So, I’d be looking to buy the domain name “toxictoys.com” for parents wanting to avoid buying dangerous toys for their little angels.
I think ToxicToys.com can be had for about $4999. Check out the website: http://www.thedailygreen.com. This site has a segment of their homepage dedicated to specifically TOXIC TOYS!
Which is the better “focused” investment?
I’m not sure, but I’d like some input to that question!
cheers bro

To be fair NameJet.com tightened up their deadbeat bidder rules last month and since then I haven’t seen a domain go unpaid for yet, so maybe this policy is working.
The 2 toxic auctions were before the changes were made

namejet should hold money in escrow to make sure these names are not pump and dump.
