Representative Joe Barton, a Republican from Texas, asked the Justice Department on Tuesday to “thoroughly investigate” antitrust and privacy issues in a search advertising partnership planned by Google and Yahoo.
Barton expressed frustration at Yahoo’s response to questions, he and his staff posed about the deal, saying they “seemed designed to obscure rather than clarify how the Google-Yahoo deal would work.”
Barton in a letter send to Thomas Barnett, head of the Justice Department’s antitrust division wrote:
“I am writing you to request that the Department of Justice thoroughly investigate issues of competition and privacy that Yahoo failed to address fully in responding to questions about the online search advertising partnership between Google and Yahoo.”

It’s unrelated, but I always get a kick out of google rants from non-domainers with high-traffic, high-quality sites:

Actually I kind of agree with him Google is sucking the life out of all partner channels, whether is domain traffic or adsense.
