What does that mean, “officially seized”, for domains/registrars overseas?

    Joe

    Depends on the non-US registrar.

Fabulous Told me they will comply

If the registrant is non-US but the registrar is US then the registrar will comply

    So MHB,
    If the RegisTRANT is U.S.,
    and the RegisTRAR is non-U.S.,
Is the RegisTRAR held to comply??

    thanks Ed- Michigan

Actually, no. It just happens some non-U.S. registrars choose to comply, even though they’re not really required to.

Some Non-US registrars feel like they have to comply based on the jurisdiction they are located

Depends on existing treaties with the US.

Good luck in getting the domain names back to the people that had it taken from them
