I Just wanted to make sure everyone who wants to bid on any of the domains at the Live TRAFFIC show tomorrow, and can’t be at the show, knows that for the first time you will be able to bid on the domains, live, remotely along with the crowd.

You do need to have a snapnames.com account, which will be using their system for the remote live bidding.

You will also have to download their bidding software.

Please note that the software is NOT compatible with Firefox so you will have to use Internet Explorer to download the file.

The auction will be held at 3:30PM PST.

Can I participate in the Live Auctions if I am not attending an event in person?

Yes, anyone can participate in the Live Auctions by logging into their SnapNames account and following the Live Auctions links during the auction. We recommend that you visit the Live Auctions page at snapnames.com a minimum of three days prior to the auctions to download the Live Auctions software.

How far in advance of the auctions should I go to the SnapNames Live bidding interface?

The bidding interface will be available approximately one hour prior to the start of each auction. Some special software is required in order to view the Live Auctions and submit remote bids. We strongly recommend that you visit snapnames.com a minimum of three days prior to the auction to download the Live auction software. Once you have installed the software, we also recommend you login and open the bidding software between 15-30 minutes prior to the start time of the event to allow for enough time to address any issues.

Can I watch the auctions online without bidding?

Yes, all you need is the Live Auctions software installed on your computer. The auction software will be available for you to download several days in advance of the event.

How do I pay for domain names that I won in the auctions?

We accept payment by wire or check only. You will receive a confirmation email with payment instructions immediately following the auction. Simply send the amount you owe to SnapNames within 7 business days of the auction close.
