Mainstream media has picked up on the sale first reported by DNJournal.com, of Cruises.co.uk by the same company that owned Cruise.co.uk.
In an article by MSNBC, they cite it as the largest sale ever of a .co.uk.
Good always to see domain sales news picked up by mainstream media outlets.
There always so surprised how much domain actually sell for.
Actually MSNBC goes as far to say the buyer paid 1.1 Million dollars for an “s”. Since he already owned the singular.
What the MSNBC guy doesn’t realize the s.com once auctioned off will probably sell for double that.
Also The Christian Science Monitor of all places published an article about domain name sales and the industry in general.
Charles Bocock says
You’d think someone writing about domains would know the difference between uk.com (bad) and .co.uk (good)…!
