Google has bought another new gTLD for its Alphabet brand which is using the domain name abc.xyz
Google registered/bought the premium domain name ABC.Global yesterday though its registrar Mark Monitor.
.Global has around 4,000 domain names that are priced with premium registration fees through the domain name registrar channel (however many registrars will not be selling those premium domain names until the end of August).
Rolf Larsen the CEO of .Global told thedomains.com that ABC.Global was priced in the highest tier of premium .global domain names.
.Global Premium domain names sold through the registrar channel do not carry a premium renewal fee. All premium domain names renew at the normal renew fee which of course varies from registrar to registrar but is somewhere around $65.
At Hexonet.com, a domain name registrar that is carrying premium .Global domains, I looked up another top tier domain name and it is priced around $4,500.

Am I supposed to remember every extension?
Too much confusion
thursday says
dont worry, at least one search engine will make sure you remember all extensions.
Seb says
For sure, they’ll run into big troubles with Disney / ABC.com
A lawsuite with BMW is also coming as Alphabet.com doesn’t resolve anymore because of the spike in traffic.
thursday says
they wont get trouble at all. but we would had we tried something like that …
Mike says
If it is some small company, not Google, we would already see tens of lawsuits.
But it looks like BMW, ABC.com and other big fish have no balls to f#$k with Google.
It’s junk anyway.
Josh Pelissero says
Let the rush begin lol
Alan Dodd says
They’ll be buying abc.wtf next. I’ve seen this with domain addicts. They register one or two, next thing they’re on the computer till 5am…
Tony says
Bing already registered that a few days ago.
Freddy says
lets se if they go after abc.sucks as well.
Desus Nirist says
5AM? Usually that type of addiction lasts until you have a very long beard. Probably closer to 50 years or so.

Always found it interesting that G was never really investing in top tier domains, their MO seemed clearly to be about generating revenue from search advertising, and not in the content realm. So from that perspective, unlike other corps that will go out and acquire key domains related to brands they’re involved in developing or building, they would rather just pay $10. I suppose when you control who gets ranking anyway, their point of view seems to be why invest in a domain?
Kim Kardishian says
abc.link is pending delete. Grab it before Google goes for it.
Michael Berkens says
Somehow I think you will find that one in North Sound Names ownership
Bobby says
They’ve secured any and every “alphabet.nTLD” they could in the past few days but only a few “abc.nTLD” .global being one, as well as .how and .claims and I’m still going thru the list.
Karl Jackson says
Well just in case AbcXyz.Global could be the one.
DNSal.es says
ABC domain names were never that popular in the past: http://dnpric.es/?q=|abc.
Karl Jackson says
Please realize Google made $66 Billion last year. It is Google that is making abc so poular now.
Dietmar says
Will someone please tell Google that they can register Alphabet.google?
Ahoi!
Desus Nirist says
Google.alphabet may be available as well.
SoFreeDomains says
By choosing Alphabet as a corporate name, Google is trying to prove that it is truly a company that has broken language barriers and I think the company has really done that – a truly global company.
