How Many Domain Investors Are There? JustDropped Newsletter Hits 100K Subscribers

August 21, 2014 by Michael Berkens

We have often wondered just how many people are domainers or domain investors, well today  the deleted domain names data provider Justdropped.com announced today that it has reached 100,000 subscribers to it popular domain name newsletter.

“The newsletter which offers high quality domain names at low reseller prices is published daily.”

The newsletter has been in publication since 2004 and is considered one of the largest and longest running newsletters in the expired domain name space.

“The majority of the domains listed are priced starting at only $69. The list is updated daily with new inventory. A majority of the domain names are sold within minutes based on the low price point and quality of the domain names offered. Subscribers include domain name investors, media companies, web hosting companies, SEO companies and everyone in-between.”

“The newsletter is published online daily here: http://www.justdropped.com/jdnewsletter.html. Anyone can sign-up using the signup link at the top of the newsletter. Users will then automatically receive the newsletter daily.”

My company has been a long time subscriber to the newsletter.

Congrats to Dan for achieving the 100K mark.

Very interesting. I have know about their site for many years, but only used it to look for expired domains. I never knew they sold domains. I signed up now for their daily newsletter.

Thanks Mike – to answer the question “how many domain investors are there” I would say a couple of
hundred doing it full time. It took 10 years to reach that number of 100k subscribers.

Congrats Dan that is still a heck of a milestone, especially for an industry that is not that big.

Hi. Just found out about this. Thanks, Michael. Just one question, since i’m new to this. If someone buys a domain name, does it get taken off the list? ‘Cause every domain name i click on, i get redirected to Paypal.

    Thanks!

      Hi Perseus

Yes, sold domains are removed in the next days mailing – Payment links are also removed and replaced
with a sold message after purchase. Click on Bammed.com or ChicagoPetGrooming.com as a couple of
      examples.

On the one hand, congratulations to Dan Rubin!
Best customer service in the industry.

    On the other hand, damn!
