According to ntldstats.com, .Fund is leading the other new gTLD’s that go launch into general availability on Wednesday which includes .investments, .Cash and.Tax in terms of domain registrations through Sunrise and EAP
Here are some of the more interesting .Fund registrations taken in the Sunrise period by trademark holders and through the Early Access Program (EAP) where registrants paid an additional fee for early access to the domains.

Of the 5 _____fund.com domain names my company owns, 4 of the _____.fund variations are reserved, and the other one is taken and listed above. 🙂

Congrats on Bitcoin.Fund. I was bidding on it but when I got the trademark notice I decided not to pay more than $230.00. Do the Winklevoss twins own the trademark?
Michael Berkens says
I don’t know if anyone has the TM, I don’t think its not protectable at this point with hundreds of thousands of sites and businesses the term

OK..Thanks for getting back to me and for the added info…I got this email from Godaddy that started like this a few weeks ago.
Thank you for pre-registering BITCOIN.FUND. Your domain matches at least one trademark record submitted to the Trademark Clearinghouse.
In the coming days, we’ll send you another notice explaining how to acknowledge the trademark claim.
If you choose not to respond to the claim check, GoDaddy will send in the registration after November 11, 2014, if the domain name is still available.

I know
You will get the same notice if you try to register any new gTLD with the word “the” and a bunch of other words
George Kirikos says
There are “bitcoin” trademarks registered (do a Google search for “TMView”, go to the first match, and do a search). Often, these kinds of marks get registered in unrelated categories. e.g. there’s a UK mark in the category of chocolates.
In the EU sunrise, there were various Benelux TM registrations used to secure “elite” domain names (although, speculators probably lost their shirt, as even the “good” .eu domains turned out to not be in high demand by end-users). If you go to ADR.eu, and search for “plectrums”, you can find some of the inevitable disputes that got decided (for GAME.eu, AUTOTRADER.eu or ASK.eu). Bonus points if you can figure out what a “plectrum” is, without doing a Google search or looking it up in a dictionary…. 🙂
John McCormac says
Many of the .EU “trademark” registrations used dodgy Benelux deposit trademarks. These are trademarks that have not gone through the ordinary publication and opposition process. Many speculators were left strumming a different tune after the value of .EU collapsed due to the incompetence of Eurid and the EU commission aided by a bunch of naive speculators who didn’t realise that the EU market had at least twenty seven different languages.
