    $99/yr renewal/registration…

Little wonder the adult industry is against it.

I think some registrars are charging $75 a year

I guess that was the best of what was left, as pretty much all the great generics were either sold in private deals or reserved by the registry.

I am pretty sure their bread and butter will just be defensive regs anyway. People who’s only interest in .XXX is stopping potential abuse of their brand/TM.

You really gotta wonder about those generic names…

    shoes.xxx
    computer.xxx
    tire.xxx

no matter what ..they are not the generics you want.

If you wanna make some cash think “adult” when it comes to this extension.

Is it a coincidence that the whois record for iown.xxx is not available ?

  8. Brad says

“If you wanna make some cash think “adult” when it comes to this extension.”

Yeah, the problem is their are a limited number of premium adult keywords, and which ones are still left? Virtually all are already off the market.

The entire extension is a sham, from their bogus founders program which milked the extension pre launch to what appears on the surface to be the legalized extortsion of tm holders.

Guess it is good for business to have guess like frank schilling sign on as pseudo pornographers and have companies like apple fear that they might somehow become associated with the likes of them

As I have said before I cannot Wait for USBank.xxx and Chase.xxx to go live so I can do my banking with a nude 3D online teller.

CNN said today that ICM will make $ 200 mil. this year from .xxx.

I guess the lawsuit with Icann was worth it.

    @Brian Wick & theo

    1. .xxx is not limited to adult contents only.
    2. The elitles of products , services and brands that care about their customers would want to be in the minds of their customers all the time and will follow them wherever they go, and .xxx is the place to be, becasue it’s simply the best.

The extension is geared towards adult
I do not think you will see companies like
    Walmart
    McDonalds
    Apple
    Sara Lee
Trying to connect with their clients through this extension
    Just a guess 🙂

I can assure you they all will be there offering their new branded products and services customers . We will see McDonalds offering their Xmac, the fresh meat one:) Apple might launch their ipadx ….etc:)

    Just a question,

anyone got a confirmation for his .xxx domains- general availability?

  21. trending.xxx says

    December 7, 2011 at 2:56 am

Just handregged trending.xxx . Could be a relevant generic if the extension does take off. Thoughts?

  22. trie says

    December 7, 2011 at 4:41 am

My thoughts are you won’t make enough to pay your renewal fee. But indeed you’re covered if .xxx takes off. For your sake, and any others who give their hard-earned cash to ICM in a leap of faith, I hope it does.

Al keyword domains are already reserved, so i focussed on other businesses which could be worth some.
    WebmasterPrograms.xxx , DomainParking.xxx and LinkDirectory.xxx
These could be moneymakers because many people will need theses services.

LinkDirectory , a directory dedicated to the xxx extension , not bad uh ?

The big ones in the industry are refusing to move to .XXX!
Is this a good or bad sign for the future of .XXX

  25. Top Domain Deal says

DomainMonster.com is confusing costumers with emails that they have secured theyr names in.XXX and then tells me they were not!
    What is going on!?!
    Dodgy business behind the curtains!

I know someone wrote here about pricing for .XXX domains at $99, I just wanted to note that United Domains is selling .XXX domains for only $79/year.

I’ve seen a lot of really great regs go through our system, and the orders are still coming in.

  29. Momo says

    December 7, 2011 at 10:00 am

    @ Kate Hutchinson

Just a question, when do you send confirmations about the regs? I preregistered some domains on united domains but don´t get an reply.
