ICM Registry, the company behind the new .XXX extension, today announced global adult entertainment brand, Paul Raymond Publishing, will rebrand its core brand websites and its most popular online dating properties with the .xxx domain extension. This marks the largest single migration of an adult brand to the .xxx top level domain to date.
“We believe the future of adult entertainment online is in the .xxx top level domain,” said Adam Osborn, Head of Digital at Paul Raymond Publications. “We see a huge benefit in the adult community having an online space dedicated to our content.”
The Web titles included in the migration include key properties such as Paulraymond.xxx and PrpVOD.xxx. The dating sites that will migrate are Razzledating.xxx, Mensworlddating.xxx, Menonlydating.xxx, Escortdating.xxx, Adultsportdating.xxx, Clubdating.xxx, Fantasydating.xxx, Mayfairdating.xxx, and Paulraymonddating.xxx. Paul Raymond anticipates the sites will be fully migrated to .xxx by 1st February 2012.
“This demonstrates that the leading brands in adult entertainment understand the tremendous value the new .xxx domain offers,” said Steve Winyard, Vice President Europe for ICM Registry. “Paul Raymond is a great brand and an ideal partner for .xxx.”
Additionally, ICM Registry is a premium sponsor for this year’s Paul Raymond Winter Wonderland party on Thursday, December 1st .in London. This annual bash draws an international crowd of the top adult entertainment performers and industry heavyweights. Several of the .xxx spokes models will be in attendance to promote the brand and its benefits to the adult performer community including its Adult Performer Program.

Your headline is deceptive. Paul Raymond is not a “leading adult internet company. They are a company whose primary business is adult clubs. Currently, they have virtually no on-line presence, so calling them a leading internet company is just laughable to anyone who actually knows this industry.

Unlike those who bit on the .CO hype…I think anyone in the adult business who decides to brand with .XXX will do just fine.

I think you are correct – .xxx is not a just another of soon to be thousands of worthless non.com’s – it is a one of a kind that represents an entire industry – an industry that continually pushes the overall internet.

Imaging the next top adult gTLD are on market such as,
.sex
.porn
.suck
.f**k
.adult
.men
Paul Raymond Publishing has to spend more money in order to secure .sex .porn .suck .f**k .adult .men extensions…
Expensive exercise…
BrianWick says
disagree – .xxx is it – everything else will be like what .co, .biz, .info, … are to .com – i.e. worthless from a branding standpoint
Alec says
Honestly, you are doing yourself a disservice when you use titles like that.
Paul Raymond Publishing currently has no online presence. Just look at the domains: Mayfairdating.com (registered only 3 months ago), Menonlydating.com (registered only 3 months ago), razzledating.com (registered only 3 months ago),…
As someone on the adult webmaster board GFY pointed out: Here’s the ICM pretending they’re doing business with a major online porn company when that company in reality has no online presence. And a porn company that could never make it in the .com world, pretending to be big online by getting mentioned in an ICM press release.
RAYY.co says
I think .xxx is good for some niche porn company only…
.sex will reign supreme when available…
interesting to see .xxx will compete with .sex in future…
just like .co compete with .com…
.com is the king anyway…
Anyhow, no harm to speculate couple of quality .xxx for my new collections…

You are only half correct – .co does not compete with .com – .co is just “THERE”
