WOW: 3gStore.de Sells for $180,000 Dollars & Name Administration Sells BreakdownCover.com For $25K

A huge sale just announced by Sedo.com,  the domain name 3gStore.de sold for 135,000 Euros or just about $180,000 dollars.

The buyer appears to be a company out of Berlin called Teebik Inc

Certainly a very strange sale when the world is waiting to switch over to 4g phones why would someone would spend this kind of money on “old” technology?

Even if it was “new” technology domain,  Who amongst you would spend $180,000 for 4gstore.com (no we don’t own it) and no we wouldn’t pay $180,000 for it.

In another interesting sale Sedo.com sold the domain BreakdownCover.com for $25,000

The domain was owned by Frank Schilling’s Name Administration, the buyer is under privacy but has an address pretty close to Oversee.net portfolio address, 11400 W. Olympic Blvd. Suite 200.

    If i’m not mistaken they did not just sell the domain, they sold the whole company (online retailer for iphones & iphone accessories)…

    With a couple billion Internet users out there, nothing surprises me anymore. Plenty of crazy people in the mix that will pay crazy prices without blinking an eye.

    I think breakdowncover.com is massively undersold at $25k – very common phrase in the UK and with millions of policies sold each year at £70 – £130 each, someone got a steal.

    Are you sure there’s not a zero missing from the report?

    BreakdownCover.com was a great buy. It’s a UK term but has 40,500 monthly exact searches (Google KW tool) and a very healthy CPC…

    Nice to see a noteworthy sale with the suffix “store” in the name.

    Although I (unfortunately) only have three ‘store’ names (e.g., 2018Store.com), I’d bet that this category doubled in value, overnight.

    Agree with others, FS sold BreakdownCover.com for pretty cheap for once…

    If 3gstore sold for $180k, must mean the initial ask price was 250-400k? How the heck does one have the balls to ask for that ridiculous amount for that type of name?

    I need some of those balls.

    here’s the ‘guy with the balls’, aka the seller/former owner/founder of 3Gstore.de

    3Gstore was a real business, we even opened the worlds first iphone only brick and mortar store here in Germany and http://www.3gstore.de does still have more than 2000 unique visitors and transactions every day, even though we announced the shut down two months ago. In short: we didn’t sell a domain name, but a whole online shop / brand / business with a portfolio of more than 150 domain names (3g.de being one of them). And actually I didn’t have the ‘balls’, but it was several bidders bidding their way up to
