The domain Soulmate.com lead the way selling for $100K but the more interesting sale was Adss.com for $61,600.
Its another mid five figure LLLL.com sale in the last few weeks at Afternic.com without any obvious meaning along with 2 other LLLL.com sales in the mid four figures; gnom.com and tmon.com, kwny.com and ercc.com.

Right on, obviously they are doing something right. We need a strong competitor with GOOD customer and sales support for the mid size domain market and Domainer, unlike Sedo and Moniker, who only seem to cater to and focus on making large sales with sucky support service for the mid range Domainer.

Interesting news is that Facebook paid $8.5M for FB.com. Highest two character .com sale in history.
Most of these are from the BuyDomains, which is basically Afternic.com too… There is no reason whatsoever for anyone to want to compete against BuyDomains’ 2+ million domain name portfolio when you KNOW Afternic is pushing sales on BuyDomains, and not our domains… Anyone who has an account with them knows this from experience.

$8.5-million for FB.com is indeed incredible. Shows what a short-domain can be worth to the right end-user. 5D.TV has one less letter than FB.com, but heck, we’d probably sell for a couple million less than for what FB.com sold for – a down-right bargain in comparison
